The PFFL, originally formed in 1993 as a rag-tag, spreadsheet driven, fantasy football league at (the now defunct) Owen Healthcare, has survived the years and has grown to be known as the ELITE of all football leagues on FootballSwami.com. With focus on owner retention, the PFFL, strives for ultra-competitiveness, inter-league rivals, and the never-ending quest for stories for the ages. Owners now span the country, well beyond this league's Houston roots, to include Dallas, New Jersey, Washington DC, Washington state, and San Diego.

It is rare that a member of the PFFL voluntarily decides to retire. The trophy, contributed by the esteemed bin Holey (Tim Foley) has space for the names of future Super Bowl champions for decades to come.

The pot typically is $150 per team per year juiced with $3 player signing fees after week six, which is split at the end-of-season accordingly by each team's place in the standings.
